Our transportation systems influence virtually every aspect of community life. They are the means for moving people, goods, and services throughout our communities, the region, and, increasingly, to destinations around the world. Not only does the transportation system provide for the mobility of people and goods, but it also influences patterns of growth and economic activity by providing access to land. The performance of the system affects public policy concerns like air quality, environmental resource consumption, social equity, land use, urban growth, economic development, safety, and security.
Transportation planning plays a fundamental role in the state, region, or community’s vision for its future. It includes a comprehensive consideration of possible strategies; an evaluation process that encompasses diverse viewpoints; the collaborative participation of relevant transportation-related agencies and organizations; and open, timely, and meaningful public involvement.
This research provides appropriate locations for traffic counter installment in order to meet travel demand through transportation planning in the urban transportation networks.

This thesis focuses on applying “system approach “to “Procedural Feasibility Study” (PFS). For this purpose, Mathematico-Logical model (ML) and facilities of graph theory have been exploited. As the preliminary step, the relavant literature has been reviewed.Then, the relationships among the components and factors of Feasibility Study (FS) have been determined. These relationships have been depicted by matrix to represent the existence of connectivities, using 0 and 1. The strength of connectivity has been ignored. This matrix can be mapped to make a graph indicates the structure of FS.
In the next step, a bi-level structure for FS has been developed. The relationships among the components and sub-components are determined from the matrix. A more detailed matrix is out of the scope of this research.The fundamental question has been raised as “How to miligate FS from the vague textual labyrinth and various approach to PFS. For this purpose, current statements in FS have been categorized to “Quantifiabl” and “Non-Quntifiable (NQ)”.The first can be convented to an ML model, such as constraint. But NQs are not apt to be stated as an ML one.
Finally an FS may be divided into “Feasibility region (FR)” and “Goals and/or Objectives (G/O)”. FR may be depidted by constraints, which are either quantifiable or NQ. In traditional FS, G/O are also quantifiable and NQ.
In this research a set of G/Os and some quantifiable constraints and formulated. The contribution of this research is a new view upon based on a system approach to procedural FS and employing ML facilities for the partial formulation of FS.

Nowadays, energy management is highly regarded throughout the world. High-energy consumption in residential buildings is one of the dominant reasons for excessive energy consumption. Therefore, this study has tried to modify consumption patterns, and present a proposed plan; consumers can maintain their welfare by using these patterns. In addition, they can benefit positive effects of home economics.
In this study, first some previous researches on optimizing energy consumption are analyzed, and then a model of household appliances is proposed. Constraints such as daily energy requirements and user preferences are modeled in the proposed framework using mixed integer linear programming (MILP). A list of home appliances used by a consumer volunteer is prepared, and the model has been implemented for this case study. Three different scenarios as the purposes of this study are analyzed and finally are compared. These scenarios include the following:
Scenario 1: Minimizing Peak Energy Consumption
Scenario 2: Minimizing Electricity Cost
Scenario 3: A Combination of Scenarios 1 and 2

The classic cell formation problem allocates a group of machines to machine cells, classifies parts into part families, and allocates part families to machine cells for forming independent cells. In this study, an integrated CMS model composed of dynamic cell formation problem with regard to the income and profits from the sale of goods in all periods is extended. The proposed model regulate the market by setting prices and make the decisions on acceptance or rejection of all or part of orders on one hand, and on the other hand meet the customer’s demands to provide a certain quantity of certain goods(customer satisfaction). Features like calculating profit, customer satisfaction, determining the appropriate price in order to supply of goods to customers, determining the appropriate point of demand acceptance, identifying profitable products and loss-making products, and decision making toward the expansion or elimination of manufacturing units are innovations used in this model that there have not received much attention in cell production so far. To investigate the performance of the proposed model, a numerical example has been presented.
